The hinged reading light opens through 30–180° to direct light across a book or work surface. A separate round flashlight provides forward illumination, with LED and COB light sources in the assembly.

The WK8404 pairs AM/FM reception with two different lights: an end flashlight for forward illumination and a hinged lamp for a book or work surface. The reading light folds against the body between uses.
Two knobs handle tuning and volume, beside a separate band selector. Choose the language and rechargeable-battery package independently of the green or orange housing.

The radio recharges via Type-C USB, the top solar panel, or the folding rear hand crank. A separate compartment accepts three AAA batteries, adding another power option for travel and preparedness kits.

The side compartment holds three AAA cells, separate from the 18650 rechargeable-cell compartment. These views identify the two battery locations so the selected rechargeable package and dry-cell requirement can be recorded separately.
