Manual DC generation in a compact body

The WK8405 generates DC power as you turn its removable crank. Its output panel offers six voltage settings and separate regulated and unregulated connections; approximately 20 W maximum generation depends on cranking speed. Start with the equipment's voltage requirement before choosing a connection.

Select the voltage before connecting

Choose from 3, 5, 6, 9, 12 or 15 V using the output-panel selector. Set it to 5 V before connecting equipment to either USB port.

The three terminals separate regulated positive, common negative and unregulated positive connections. Unregulated voltage rises with cranking speed; regulated output also needs sufficient crank speed. Match the voltage, polarity and connection to the equipment being used.

A removable crank connection

The metal crank attaches at the end of the housing. This view shows the shaft with the arm removed, while the complete-unit view shows the fitted crank and black hand grip.

The compact enclosure measures 127 × 86 × 88 mm. Allow additional room around the unit for the attached crank and its movement during use.

164 mm from shaft to terminals

The shaft and output terminals extend beyond the enclosure. The side-view measurement is 164 mm overall, from the shaft end to the terminal end; the detached crank is shown alongside for reference.
